Every founder reaches a point where good ideas stop being enough. Revenue stalls, pricing feels like guesswork, and the next stage of growth seems to require expertise the team simply doesn't have yet. This is the exact moment the Zora Enterprise Lab was designed for.

Zora Enterprise Lab is a 12-week accelerator programme for entrepreneurs who are solving real problems but hitting frustrating growth bottlenecks. It was delivered by Spurt!, an organisation focused on helping founders scale, in partnership with Bridge for Billions (a global venture-building organisation that supports early-stage entrepreneurs) and Wicked Innovation Lab (an innovation and investment studio that helps startups sharpen their business models and get investment-ready).

Together, the three partners built a programme that paired hands-on mentorship with real operating structure — giving founders a safe space to test, refine, and fix what wasn't working.

Challenge

Startups don't usually fail because founders lack ambition. They stall because of bottlenecks: unclear pricing, untested processes, and a lack of access to people who've solved the same problems before.

Spurt! set out to close that gap. The goal was to give founders two things they were missing:

  • Access to mentors who've done it before: operators, scale-up founders, and functional experts willing to work directly with each team.

  • A safe environment to prototype: a structured space to test new pricing models, processes, or growth experiments without risking the business itself.

The challenge wasn't just designing this experience. It was finding the right founders for it, keeping 35 participants and 20 mentors aligned over 12 weeks, and making sure the programme translated into real, lasting progress rather than just a good workshop series.

The solution

Spurt! led sourcing, vetting, and day-to-day delivery of the programme, while leaning on each partner's specific strength.

Finding and preparing the right founders. Spurt! ran targeted campaigns to attract applicants, then screened and pre-vetted the pool to ensure only founders with genuine growth potential and readiness were admitted. From this process, 35 founders were selected and onboarded.

A three-way partnership, each playing to its strength:

  • Bridge for Billions Provided the operational backbone structured venture sprints and a system of accountability that kept founders on track week to week.

  • Wicked Innovation Lab

Focused on problem framing, investor readiness, and product thinking, helping founders sharpen their business models with an investor's eye.

  • Spurt!

Supplied the infrastructure that held the whole programme together: a project management platform used to house the curriculum, track performance, and keep every founder, mentor, and partner aligned. Spurt! also owned end-to-end curriculum delivery and managed feedback and communication with participants throughout.

Running a cohort this size wasn't without friction coordinating and supporting 35 applicants through a fast-paced 12 weeks brought real logistical challenges. The team addressed these as they surfaced, refining processes throughout the programme to keep founders supported and on schedule.

By the end of the 12 weeks, the results were tangible: 9 founders had progressed far enough to be placed on a path toward joining Wicked Innovation Lab's portfolio companies.

The impact

Every one of the 35 founders who joined the programme was matched with one of 20 mentors. Experts who guided them through the 12 weeks and, in most cases, stayed connected with their founders afterward to help make sure what was learned actually stuck.

Nine founders completed the programme successfully and are now in the process of being attached to Wicked Innovation Lab's portfolio companies a meaningful step from "stuck" to genuinely investable.
