Overview
The client is a co-working space that provides people with an affordable convenient space to work. They needed our support in developing and implementing a full-scale strategy to deliver venture building support and transition into an innovation hub, moving beyond their sole offering of a co-working space. It wanted to impact local businesses in Nigeria and create a social network.
The Challenge
The co-working space's needed to transition into an innovation hub, moving beyond its original offering to provide venture-building support and impact local businesses.
The Solution
The Spurt! team developed and supported the implementation process, which involved an innovative staff recruitment model. We successfully filled positions, including operations lead, research analyst, communication leads, partnership lead, and Programme manager. We developed programs to ensure a smooth transition into an innovation hub. The implementation process support also involved developing partnerships, conducting fundraising, analysing, and suggesting new marketing concepts.
The Impact
The Co-working Space, currently an Innovation Hub has acted as an accelerator to local businesses in Nigeria and Ghana. The 6-month implementation process by Spurt! led to the innovation hub being part of a global social network that provides a haven for Africa ventures. It recently launched an economy booster in support of businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Spurt! continues to support the innovation hub with talent management and business advisory.
