Venture Capital and Women Entrepreneurs Bridging the Funding Gap

In 2023, only 2% of venture capital funding went to women-led startups in Africa, whereas 98% of all the funding was directed to male founded startups or startups with at least a man on the team, highlighting a critical gender gap to bridge. Bridging the gender gap in entrepreneurship could inject $2.5 trillion to $5 trillion into the global economy and see the global GDP witness a rise of 3% to 6%.
